Denver! The 2015 Forbes Best Places for Business and Careers list number one best place to live! Forbes, a well-known business magazine, named Denver as the best metropolitan area for business. Why does that mean it’s the best place to live? Well, if you need a job, Denver has plenty of businesses around to provide them.
According to Forbes, the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood metro area, which is home to 2.8 million people, is “attractive for its diverse economy, highly educated labor force and outdoor recreational opportunities. Companies are increasingly choosing Denver as the site for new operations or to relocate.” Here are a few that are doing just that.
Panasonic Enterprise Solutions:
This is a new technology and solar energy division of Panasonic North America. They chose Denver over 22 cities for its primary U.S. innovation and sales hub. They decided on Denver for several reasons: proximity to nearby universities, Denver International Airport and $1.5 million in incentives for choosing the Denver area. They are expected to create 330 jobs with an average salary of about $90,000.00.
Lockheed Martin LMT:
Lockheed Martin recently relocated the headquarters of its commercial space operations to Denver. LMT makes $46 billion-in-sales as an aerospace and defense contractor and provides 4,500 jobs in the Denver area. One reason they chose Denver was the universities that provide great research and engineering graduates.
Active pro-business community
Denver has an active aerospace, aviation, bioscience, energy, financial services, information technology, healthcare and telecommunications business community. What helps make them a great place to live as well is the lower cost of living, making those higher wage jobs even more lucrative.
Jobs, education and a pro-business community. Denver has it all for those looking to establish or relocate their business and make it home.
