There is a group of about 70 artists called the Arts Coalition of Erie. They hold art shows in the Erie Community Center and High Plains Library, and shows change about every two months. The Art Center of Erie is operated by the Arts Coalition of Erie. They hold classes and sponsor events year round in the visual and other arts.

And then there is the outdoor space. Erie has several parks: Arapahoe Ridge Park, Coal Creek Park, Coal Miners Park, Columbine Mine Park, Country Fields Park, Crescent Park, Erie Community Park, Erie Lake, Lehigh Park, Longs Peak Park, Reliance Park and Thomas Reservoir. They also have a recreational trail system that gives the community an off-road network that connects major destinations and activity centers.
The system includes Spine Trails which consists of a concrete and crusher fines trail that connects neighborhoods with activity centers. Then there is Local Trails, which are concrete trails in neighborhoods that connect to schools, businesses and the Spine Trail. There is also Primitive Trails which are crusher fines trails within open space and rural areas that are more natural and less planned.
